What you can expect

Welcome - You have arrived at Ireland’s most southerly Irish speaking B&B!

When you step off the local bus outside our door, you can expect to enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or cafetiere of coffee with fresh home baking, made with organic eggs from our farm in the dining room or in our lovely cottage style garden.

We are within walking distances of all the local amenities (beware the island is hilly!!).

Take some time to relax and recover from your journey. Get all the relevant local information on looped walks, boat trips, things to do and places to visit from your hosts on arrival. We will supply you with maps and suggestions for the island.

You will never be one of a crowd

Our B&B has three double En-Suite rooms, (showers powered by monsoon) and two twin rooms. You will never be one of a crowd and you will never have to rush to get a beautiful breakfast! We are looking forward to offering you real Irish island hospitality, divine breakfasts, a great night’s sleep in comfortable surroundings in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We have free Wi-Fi in the house so you can stay in touch as much or as little as you wish!

The Parlour is an elegant warm, cosy room, exuding old world charm, with comfortable sofas, armchairs, a beautiful stove set into a Victorian style fireplace. There is a wide variety of books covering everything from local history to wildlife identification manuals, novels, magazines as well as games and an area where to can attend to your journal.

Our home is situated on a working farm...

...so naturally we have some animals around including; Sir Maximus (aka Fatty) our resident dog, a friendly, portly fellow who enjoys welcoming our guests and playing fetch or posing for pictures! Max is a middle aged terrier with a dash of je ne sais quoi!

We also have a flock of hens, White leghorns, Black Maran, Rhode Island red and of course Napoleon, resplendent with iridescent green and black feathers, who likes to be heard!!
And a few cats who slink around looking superior!

We serve breakfast from 8 am until 10 am and we can offer a very early breakfast if you are planning on some birdwatching or planning to see the sunrise. Check out on departure is 11 am and we will store your luggage for you free of charge so you can get the most from your final day.

For cyclists on the Wild Atlantic Way tour we have ample storage in the barn for your bicycles.
